Method of administration?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g., 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 1 week without medical advice. It should be used no more than 5 times a year.
Overdose?
An overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, and blood in the urine. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Forgotten to take it?
Continue taking it as normal at the next prescribed time (i.e., do not take twice the amount).

Mode of action
How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?
The active ingredients are derived from the bearberry plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: small evergreen shrub with rough, obovate leaves and whitish bell-shaped flowers that ripen into scarlet spherical fruits
- Occurrence: Europe, Asia, North America
- Main ingredients: arbutin, methylarbutin, tannins
- Parts of the plant used and preparations: mainly extracts from the dried leaves
Arbutin and its related substances have an antibacterial effect and also inhibit the growth of fungi. It is not the arbutin itself that is effective, but rather it must first be converted into its active form in the body. The tannins that are also present support the germicidal effect of arbutin.

What age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years of age: The medicine must not be used.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: The medicine must not be used.
- Breastfeeding: The medicine must not be used. If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may outweigh the risk associated with use in the presence of a contraindication.

What should you keep in mind?
- Caution if you are allergic to propylene glycol!
- Caution if you are allergic to dyes (e.g., quinoline yellow with E number E 104)!
- Caution if you are allergic to colorants (e.g., indigo carmine with E number E 132)!
- Caution if you are intolerant to lactose. If you are on a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.

Therefore, before starting treatment with a new medication, you should generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are already taking. This also applies to medications that you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or have used in the past.
